Happy Galentine’s Day, Moms!

Valentine’s Day can be hard for moms. Single moms, moms who are having relationship issues with their partners, moms who feel pressure to curate the world’s best Valentine’s Day celebrations, moms who lose hours of their lives filling out a gazillion valentines for all of their children’s classmates. (Just to add a bit to that last one: last year I sent my older son into school with your standard-issue Valentine’s Day sticker cards, and he returned home with a large bag full of stuff from his classmates, including toys and stuffed animals. I mean, really?)

May I suggest an alternative, courtesy of Leslie Knope from Parks & Recreation? Galentine’s Day–a day to celebrate all of the female friends and family members you love. Happy Galentine’s, all!
